The Bay Shore boys varsity basketball team were victorious in the Long Island Class AAA Boys Basketball Championship against the Baldwin Bruins.
The neutral playoff game—held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, at Farmingdale State College —was a highly anticipated event, given Bay Shore’s undefeated 23-0 record going into the game. The varsity team fired on all cylinders, with Khamari Broomfield scoring 18 points, and Tashawn Bumpers scoring 16 points during the championship.
With a final score of 66-45, the Marauders dominated the competition, winning their first Long Island Championship since 1981.
The Bay Shore boys varsity basketball team, now undefeated with a 24-0 record, is only two wins away from winning their first-ever state championship.
Continue to support the team and wish them good luck before they go on to compete in the Class AAA State Semifinal. The boys will be competing against Niagara Falls (15-5) at Cool Insuring Arena, located in Glen Falls, N.Y., at 2:15 p.m. on March 16.
