The Moriches Community Center will be shopping for Christmas. All items are then donated to families identified as “in-need” by the school district.

“Santa’s Workshop is one of our most rewarding programs. We work all year to make this possible, and it really is a culmination of all the efforts and generosity of this incredible community,” said Sonny Saguto, co-director of the Moriches Community Center. “Every time we call, they pick up, and we are eternally grateful to live and work with such great people.”

The community gift-wrapping day will take place on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 8 to 11 a.m. The event is volunteer-run and allows those who want to help the opportunity to do so. About 75 families are aided through the program.
