Semi-pro soccer player offers private training

Founder of NA4 Training, Nicholas Addamo, is a semi-professional soccer player and local Patchogue resident now offering private and group training sessions.

Originally from Holbrook, Addamo graduated from Sachem East, where he was the varsity soccer captain in his senior year. He then attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey, a Division 1 school, until he transferred to the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania, a Division 3 school, where he was also the team captain. He recently graduated with a degree in business communications this past May.

Addamo, 22, has been playing soccer since he was 3 years old and continues to play for a local U-23 team for Port Jefferson Soccer Club and New York Empire Football Club, which is a semi-professional team competing in the United Premier Soccer League.

“I love the sport for many reasons,” he said. “The two main reasons are the joy it brings when I’m out there playing with my friends in front of my family, and the second reason is the competitive drive I have and the need to win every game.”

In his career, he is a three-time state cup champion and a landmark conference champion with the University of Scranton.

Now, he also trains kids, helping them, too, find a love for the sport. He has trained with Complete Athlete Inc. Riverfront UTD and the Long Island Slammers Camp.

“I love seeing kids develop,” he said. “There’s no better feeling from seeing the progress a kid makes from their first session with me compared to their 10th or 11th.”

Addamo currently offers training for all ages ranging from 6 years old up to seniors in high school, including both individual and group training sessions.

“My training is designed to develop your child’s skills, build confidence, and take their game to the next level,” he added.

Typically, he hosts sessions at Baymen Soccer Fields in West Sayville, though he also offers to travel.
