Town employees help Salvation Army ‘angels’

Posted

Town of Islip staff played Santa Claus recently helping the Salvation Army load gifts for 60 “angels” into its sleigh, to be distributed among families and placed under Christmas trees this holiday season. Each year, Town of Islip employees participate in the Salvation Army Angel Tree program, buying items from the wish lists of “adopted angels” of all ages. “We are so fortunate here in the Town of Islip to have such incredibly generous employees. It is truly heartwarming to see our office filled with toys, bicycles, scooters and more, knowing that children’s Christmas wishes will come true this holiday season,” said Islip supervisor Angie Carpenter.
