“Children of all ages, and those young at heart, are enjoying Sayville’s newest playground at Sayville Marina Park,” said a spokesperson for the Town of Islip.
On Tuesday, April 11, Islip Town supervisor Angie Carpenter; councilman James P. O’Connor; councilman John M. Lorenzo; Tom Owens, commissioner Town of Islip Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs; and Deirdre Wahlberg, deputy commissioner, Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, joined with local residents to cut the ribbon at the new facility.
“Sayville Marina Park is a gem in the Town of Islip, where families have been coming for years making memories. We are grateful to Commissioner Owens and the members of the town board for ensuring these quality-of-life improvements throughout our communities,” said Carpenter.
