The Bayport-Blue Point girls varsity volleyball team won the Suffolk Class B Title against Hampton Bays in Hauppauge High School on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
Erin Wuestmann, who plays setter/right side, said, “We had an amazing season. Winning counties showed how great our team works together and how well our coaches prepared us for each game. Many of us have all been playing together since we were little, and it has been so much fun watching all of us grow as players throughout the years. As a senior, and as a team captain, I’m very proud of all we have accomplished.”
Athletic director, Tim Mullins, said, “The varsity girls volleyball capped off another exceptional season with capturing the Suffolk County Championship. This was the program’s third county title in the last six seasons. The success of the program is a true testament to Coach Mulgrave and all of the student athletes that work hard each and strive for excellence.”
