Arts take over Bellport Lane

Filling the Fourth of July with festivity and fine art was the 63rd annual South Bay Art Association’s Artists on the Lane event in Bellport.

One of the largest outdoor art shows on Long Island, the event draws artists from all over the country.

For the event, Bellport Lane is closed to all vehicular traffic from Main Street down to the Great South Bay.

The Bellport Garden Club was on hand to sell floral bouquets on the grounds of the Bellport Historical Society, which is also located on Bellport Lane.

This year’s artists included the media variety that the event has become known for—from watercolors to paper art, to ink to ceramics, there was a type of artistry for every collector who visited.
