PeraBell closes; ITA to take over

PeraBell Food Bar, one of downtown Patchogue’s longest-running restaurants, has closed after 17 years. The restaurant’s last day was Aug. 12. Co-owner John Peragine discussed the closing in a pair of posts on PeraBell’s Facebook page, thanking the restaurant’s staff, co-owners Scottie Campbell and David Chiarella, and the restaurant’s customers.

“You helped us to attain our goal to be a great neighborhood restaurant that supported our community and helped Patchogue grow into the village that it is,” Peragine wrote. A spokesperson for ITA Kitchen told the Long Island Advance that it will be taking over the PeraBell space. ITA Kitchen has locations in Bay Shore, East Moriches, and Garden City.
