‘Miles Ahead’

Miles Davis, aka The Prince of Darkness, is historically one of the most influential jazz musicians in America. Over 35 years in the scene, he was a leader, inventing, through improvisational techniques, new frontiers in music, thwarted only by music empires and ill-educated producers who domineered the music scene as its arbiters of taste. In the film, “Miles Ahead,” co-written with Steven Baigelman and directed by actor Don Cheadle, who also plays the lead, we get a glimpse of that struggle.
