The Bellport Village Tennis Center will hold a youth tennis tournament on Saturday, Aug. 24 from noon to 4 p.m.
The tournament is open to youngsters ages 12 to 17. Players will compete in one of two groups based on their skill level. Participants must be able to serve.
The idea for the tournament is to interest more youngsters in the sport of tennis, said Louis Nunez, tennis director for the Bellport Tennis Center.
Participants can sign up until Aug. 23. The cost is $30 per person, which includes beverages and food.
