The No. 1 William Floyd Colonials varsity football team, led by head coach Paul Longo, had a dominating 43-22 win over No. 8 Sachem East in the quarterfinals of the Suffolk County Division I playoffs on Saturday, Nov. 9.
With the victory, the Colonials advanced to the semifinals, where they hosted No. 4 Sachem North on Saturday, Nov. 16 at noon. The Colonials defeated Sachem North, 35-14.
With the victory, the Colonials will head back to Stony Brook University for the Suffolk County championship game against Ward Melville.
