The Unitarian Universalist Society of Suffolk will wrap up their congregational year on June 30.
It was a successful year for the organization as they invited 28 speakers and hosted 43 services. Additionally, they steadied their finances, created a new and updated website, and welcomed new members to the group.
This summer, they will be starting a new program for friends and family to enjoy. “UUSSS Family Movie Nights” will begin on July 19.
The Unitarian Universalist Society of Suffolk is planning for the program to be a quarterly event, but for the start, it will be held on the third Saturdays of each month, July 19 and Aug. 16. Movie night will begin at 6:30 p.m. The first movie featured will be Disney’s “Encanto.”
A dollar donation is accepted, and popcorn and chairs will be provided by the Unitarian Universalist Society of Suffolk. Attendees are welcome to bring a beverage, blankets, pillows and show up in your pajamas for extra comfort.
The UUSSS is located at 28 Brentwood Road in Bay Shore; for more information reach out to (631) 968-0667 or www.uusouthsuffolk.org.
