Smaller hotel proposed for former Patchogue bowling alley

Village attorney Brian Egan holds up a rendering of the proposed hotel.

Some developments from the meeting: developer West Avenue Partners is proposing a smaller hotel with 96 rooms and 13 apartments, down from 118 rooms and 16 apartments.

The building would be five stories: four floors of hotel rooms and a restaurant and spa on the fifth floor.

The original plan called for six stories. Larry Davis, the developers’ attorney said construction would take two years.

The plan calls for 119 onsite parking spaces. Code requires 101 spaces, Davis said.

The board closed the public hearing without voting on the zone change. They adjourned the matter to Nov. 12.
