The Bayport-Blue Point Chamber of Commerce’s 35th annual St. Pat’s parade was held on Sunday, March 16.
Earlier forecasts had predicted rain for the day, but despite cloudy skies, parade-goers enjoyed a dry event.
This year’s grand marshals, Craig and Wendy Clare, who were honored with the role for their outstanding commitment to all fields in Bayport-Blue Point sat atop a convertible with big smiles and enthusiastic waves for the crowds lining Montauk Highway.
During the chamber installation dinner held in January, chamber president Karl Auwaerter said the parade would be “led by two people who are directly responsible for making these two towns so wonderful.”
The Johnny Mac Foundation had over a dozen volunteers handing out mini Irish flags to the crowd.
Another popular token was fresh-baked shamrock cookies from The Sunflower Café.
