Players of the Bayport Blue Point varsity football team honored a hometown hero of the Bayport Fire Department, Thomas Arpino, on Sunday, November 3.
Arpino, who passed away at 59 years old on October 28, was born in Blue Point and remained a lifelong member of the Bayport-Blue Point community. Arpino worked as a Car Inspector with the Long Island Rail Road and was a beloved and active member of the Bayport Fire Department.
