So being secluded and not have that interaction is really difficult for stylists... with reopening, the hardest part was taking three months of pre-booked clients and trying to squish them into our schedule when we returned.”
Her hopes for the future of salons?
“I think during this time people realized how important personal grooming and personal care is to their well-being... how important it is to look good when you’re doing your Zoom call. My hope for the future is that maybe before, people didn’t take this industry so seriously and saw it as something fun, or maybe didn’t understand how much training goes into what we do behind the chair, and now after learning the hard way—with trying to tackle the husband’s hair—they realize how important the business industry is to our overall well-being and how when we look good on the outside, it makes us feel good on the inside.”
