The deceased body of missing Blue Point woman, Gabby Petito was found during a search in Wyoming.
North Port Police confirmed the identity of the body in a statement on Facebook that said, "We are saddened and heartbroken to learn that Gabby has been found deceased. Our focus from the start, along with the FBI, and national partners, has been to bring her home. We will continue to work with the FBI in the search for more answers."
Almost immediately after the news break, hundreds of local community members in the Sayville, Bayport, Blue Point area took to social media to express their sadness and sympathy for the Schmidt and Petito families.
