Students in Ms. Pope’s FUNctional technology class at Beach Street Middle School in the West Islip School District recently created a Little Lending Library. The library will be on display in the school’s lobby and reads “Take a Book/Leave a Book.” When the weather improves, the plan is to do an official ribbon-cutting ceremony and move the library outdoors. The students in Ms. Villani’s class will oversee stocking and monitoring the books in the library.
