On Saturday, Dec. 4, the Town of Islip hosted the annual holiday parade and tree lighting in front of Town Hall. Earlier in the day, Suffolk County Legis. Tom Cilmi was surprised with the honor of being the parade’s grand marshal. The parade featured bands, dancers, veterans, firefighters, EMS workers, clubs and organizations, and of course, the man himself, Santa Claus. After the parade, the tree in front of Town Hall was lit with a countdown.
