The Bayport-Blue Point Chamber of Commerce held their annual tree lighting at the Bayport-Blue Point High School on Monday evening, Dec. 5.
The committee included board members Karl Auwaerter of Bayport Flower Houses, Lenore Prezioso, of M&T Bank, and Seth Needelman of the Fish Store.
Bayport Flower Houses donated all the multicolored lights for the tree; M&T Bank provided all the hot chocolate and cookies for after Santa arrived with the Bayport and Blue Point Fire departments; and the Fish Store brewed up the refreshments. The high school chorus and band were on hand to regale the crowd with holiday favorites.
Board member Bryn Elliott said, “Every year, I truly enjoy the chamber’s Christmas tree lighting. There’s always a great turnout. It’s awesome to see the kids’ faces light up as Santa pulls up in the fire truck, and nice to see so many familiar faces.”
