This past weekend, Oct. 16 and 17, the 13th annual Civil War Weekend was held at the Grange in Sayville. The event was a completely immersive experience that transported visitors back in time to both Union and Confederate camps. Each day a battle was reenacted, with narration provided on what visitors were watching. The event was hosted by Company K, 67th New York 1st Long Island Volunteers and featured the 6th NY Independent Battery, The Sons and Daughters of Union Veterans, The 10th NY Cavalry, Co. C, the 9th Virginia, Co. B, the 30th Virginia, and Co. H, the 14th Brooklyn.
