On-street dining starts this weekend in Patchogue

East and West Main Street in Patchogue Village will be closed on Sundays for outdoor dining starting this Sunday, June 28.
Last night, the Village of Patchogue trustees passed a request made by the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce to approve the weekly closures between Maple and Ocean Avenues and West Main Street between Ocean and West avenues. All north and south running roads will remain open at all times and North and South Ocean Avenue will also remain open.
Though, as of now, Executive Director David Kennedy said, he is not sure how long it will last, he hopes to see it through the remainder of the summer.
All businesses, including retail, are also encouraged to use their sidewalk space to conduct business on any day, including the new Sunday dining nights with a permit and permission from the village.
