Blue Point's brewing plans in fate of the Yankees

One of the biggest matchups in sports right now is the New York Yankees and the Houston Astros in the ALCS. But one of the biggest matchups in the beer world is Blue Point Brewing Co., of Patchouge, NY vs. Karbach Brewing Co. of Houston, TX.

The breweries, looking for some friendly competition, have set a wager based on the outcome of the Astros-Yankees series. If the Yankees take the ALCS, the Karbach team will be forced to brew the Yankees-branded Pinstripe Pils — while wearing Yankees Jerseys — at their brewery. But if the Astros take the pennant, then Karbach’s Astros-branded Crawford Bock will be served by Blue Point in New York, while repping Astro’s gear.

This is also a comeback opportunity for the Yankees. Back in 2017, the Astros swept the Yankees in the ALCS, and went on to win their first-ever world series. In 2015, the Astros beat the Yankees for the wild card.

Pinstripe Pils - Blue Point's popular beer is now a staple at Yankee Stadium. Brewed with generous amounts of pilsner malt, this bright golden pilsner is balanced with a hint of lime aroma from specialty hops.

Crawford Bock - This ballpark beer uses dark German malts paired with Chinook and Cascade hops to set up a great beverage to hold while watching the game or eating ballpark food.

The Yankees are down 3-1 in the series, after losing again on Thursday night. They play Friday night at 7:08 p.m. at Yankee Stadium.
