The Long Island Advance was recognized last weekend during the Better Newspaper Contest Awards, hosted by the New York Press Association at their annual conference. The Advance won Second Place for Special Section on Newsprint for the 125th Anniversary of Patchogue edition, Third Place for Best Front Page and Honorable Mention for Best News or Feature Series.
